Firefox2.0を試してみました

■ 約1年ぶりのメジャーバージョンアップとなる「Firefox」v2.0 日本語版が公開
（窓の杜,10/25）

> そのため、旧バージョンのユーザーなら違和感なく乗り換えられる。
> ただし、v2.0に対応していない拡張機能やテーマは利用できなくなるため注意が

早速テストPCに入れて、移行が可能かどうかチェックしてみてみました。
私が入れてるFirefoxプラグイン（というかエクステンションというかアドオンというか）は、主に下の9つです。

・XUL/Migemo [Forked Edition]
・PrefButtons（中島かつを様改造版）　+　チェックボックスアイコン化
・Google Toolbar
・FlashGot
・IE View
・All-in-One Gestures
・Sage
・Tab Mix Plus
・紙copi-plugin

このうち、正式に2.0へ対応しているのは、「Google Toolbar」、「FlashGot」、「All-in-One Gestures」の3つ。
Firefox2.0beta、あるいは2.0RCには対応していて、私が2.0に入れても問題なく動いていたのは、「XUL/Migemo」、「IE View」、「sage」、「Tab Mix Plus（Dev-build version）」の4つ。
未だFirefox2.0で動作確認を取れていないプラグインは、「PrefButtons」と「紙copi-plugin」の2つです。

正直、今回のFirefox2.0へのアップデートで、個人的にはTab Mix Plusの存在意義が薄れてきた感があります。
タブ関連の細かい設定や、タブを開いたり閉じたりするときの挙動を制御するにはもちろん必要ですが、以前ほどマストな感は無いと思います。
それだけ、Firefox2.0ではタブまわりが改善されていると感じました。
面倒でなければ、おもだった設定はabout:configでなおせますし。

紙copiユーザーの私にとって、紙copi-pluginは結構重要だったりします。
InternetExplorer（というかsleipnir）を使っていた頃から、気になった情報はとりあえず紙copiへ取り込んでいます。

PrefButtonsは、java scriptとproxyのON / OFFのために使っています。
ローカルで常駐するProxomitronをトラップするかどうかをワンチェックで切り替えられるるので、かなり便利に使っています。
ページによってはjava scriptを許可しないと動かないところもあるので、これも簡単切り替えで使っています。

PrefButtonsはまあいいとして、紙copiが対応できていないのはいたいです（多分こういうユーザーはマイノリティ）。
2.0RCまでは対応できているので、2.0対応までそう遅くはないと思います。

それと、私はスキンにLunaを使っていますが、これも2.0に対応してくれるとうれしいです。
